History
This Mustang was born in Dearborn in November 1964 with an original K-code engine 5F07K1577XX.

According to narrations from the owner chain it was at some point built by Bob Greene into an AS racing car and entered from 1966 on.

An excerpt from the advertisement on BAT from previous owner Luis.
"Campaigned  on the West Coast from 1972-1980 in SCCA A Sedan Class and  vintage raced SVRA 1996-1998.

Eligible for FIA competition and eligible with SVRA Historic Medallion #6-244. Engine compartment, trunk, interior and wheel wells finished in period correct Zolotone."

Tony researched already many of the 70íes/80ies/90ies/00s period race entries, of which earlier ones are mostly  confirmed in Jan Greens race log book. A full list will be set up soon.

Bob Greene is given the credit by one of the owners for having build this car. A racer with Cobra fame, he said. But we need your help here to fill the period from 1965 through to 1968.

The picture above shows the Mustang in dark livery in Jan Greens ownership, of which current owner Tony has a detailed logbook record.

The car was at one point converted into a GT1 class Mustang racer.

Wolfdog narrated:

The car was in pretty rough shape when I got it, but had a nice cage and very little rust to deal with. It still had the T/A style Zolotoned interior, etc. As time went by, I soon realized I had too much on my plate to really commit to a restoration and subsequently traded it to Tony Perera of Palo Alto, a vintage race car collector and broker. He had the car restored by his in-house project guy. …I forget his name. The car was then sold to Chris Liebenberg Race Cars in Conn. where it got additional upgrading and detailing.

Below is the car as of 2023/2024 as shown in BAT and other webads.
