My car is a factory Highland
Green, 390-4spd, Deluxe Interior, GT.
Factory options are AM
8-Track, Convenience Group, Reflective Group, Fold Down Rear Seat, center
console.
It's all numbers matching and I have all the
paperwork to include original manuals, Buildsheet, and window sticker.
One deviation from stock is my interior was
originally Saddle (beautiful color combo) but I changed it to black when I
restored it so it would reflect McQueen's car exactly.
I also
restored the car to MCA standards with overspray, markings, and correct
finishes.
I made this car as close to the Hero Car as it sits
now as I could. I even machined spacers for the wheel centers to push them
outwards to compensate for the larger 15x7 wheel size.
G70 Firestones on
all four corners. I also made this car "reversible" so all the modifications
can be undone and the car can turn back into a GT if needed.
Painted
covers on the backup light holes unbolt allowing reverse lights to be
installed, factory resonators are used with bolt on straight pipes allowing
easy installation of a transverse muffler with tips, and of course, easy
removal of the leather wrapped 67 GT 500 steering wheel in favor of the
stock deluxe one.
As
Dave tells us, he is ready to bring it to a Ford dealership as soon as a
2019 Bulitt pops up there. For sure an eye-catching display for a 50th
Anniversary. Good luck.

I did 100% of this restoration myself to include rust
repair, mechanics, paint and bodywork. It'll be part of the Class of 1968
display at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals in Chicago this November.
