Dieses Jahr wurde die Messebeteiligung erstmals mit Hilfe des "Ruhrpott-Teams" um Axel Heinzelmann (2. Vorsitzender) organisiert und es klappte wie am Schnürchen. "Wir starten in den Frühling" war das Thema und es wurden ausschließlich rote Mustangs ausgesucht, frei nach der Auto-Scout-Werbung "Heute nur rote Autos gefunden". Natürlich haben auch die Heinrichs-Brüder und die Heinen's wieder mitgeholfen und der Präsi eine Tonne Material von Siegen nach Essen gefahren. Ein großer Erfolg für den Club waren eine Anzahl neuer Mitglieder, Magazin-Abonnenten und tausende Besucher. Die Club-Geschenke fanden reißenden Absatz, so daß die Clubkasse wieder gefüllt werden konnte. Viele Fragen kamen nach dem Gone in 60 Seconds-Mustang und natürlich waren auch die frühen Convertibles wieder ein Objekt des Interesses.

year our club presentation was organized for the first time by our so-called
"Ruhrpott-Team" headed by Axel Heinzelmann (vice president) and it went very
smooth. "We are heading for spring" was the chosen theme and poppyred colour was the only Mustang colour to go. A ton of material had been hauled from our president to the booth and the Heinrichs brothers and Heinen family took care of all organisation aspects as ususal. Lots of new members and subscribers could be found and thousands of interested visitors got aware of our club and hobby. The clubs gifts caught a lot of interest and filled our cash register. Many questions regarding the GISS Mustang had to be answered and the 67 Fastback as well as early convertibles could have been sold on the spot, if they would have been available. |
