Mustangs Plus secret backyard

Thanks a lot for this tour to Ron Bramlett

Ron is a very open-heart Mustanger - still after years in business with us often not so easy customers. Occasionally sb. breaks the rule to flame vendors on forum, but even then Ron took immediate action to respond. Mustangs Plus is by no way a standard Mustang parts vendor. Ron sells what he races and uses on his cars. And he even takes time to give foreign visitors a tour through his race shop facilities and his backyard. I was deeply impressed by the hearty welcome we received, despite that I bought only few parts because I had already filled my luggage earlier.

At the time of our visit Ron even went with us through his office, showed us his new wheel rim projects being just tested, a Falcon that was prepared for european rallying, his huge memorabilia collection stored on approx. 40 by 40 by 40ft (yes, height as well), his race shop, his sons project car on the rotisserie (finished by now) and finally his secret Mustang project garden, protected by some huge barking and red-eyed - fortunately fenced during our visit - bulldogs.

Ron had a story to each of the far-beyond-gone shells and it was really interesting to follow his speech and guidance. I have not noted everything, but I remember a special race modified early 'stang with fuel fillers on the top rear fenders and a Fiberfab shell. Ron explained that these cars are far from restoration projects and they were kept in the drying sun only for future resto-mods or similar Ronster projects and from close-up inspection I can confirm that most of the selected cars are truely gone. Mustangs Plus sold most of the parts and restorable cars quite some years ago in a yard sale, so these are kept mainly for true built-on-frame projects.

Thanks to Ron for the very interesting tour. I enjoyed it very much and I was even allowed to sit in the RONSTER for a moment of DREAMING, that it would be mine one day. It is for sure a completely different Mustang like a new car. Something I would rather consider as what Ford should build today as the Living legend. Ford - please take a look at the RONSTER and have Ron finetune the new 2004 Retro-Mustang suspension.
