November 28th, 2021 Another story is this serious racer for the road. Anders from Denmark built his dream car over a period of time and made sure every bolt and weld is rock-solid to take the ultimate power. Anders has a lot experience with vintage racing at international circuits, so trust him, that he built this one right. We are adding more pictures soon to let you dive in the build of this car. |

November 20th, 2021 Finding a rare 1965 T-5 convertible 5F08A 62___ with the early T-5 emblem is a scarce opportunity. A dealer could get a hand on this one and is doing a full restoration right now. We hope it preserves all the original parts. Actually it is in deed a Dearborn produced T-5, not too many early ones were made their, later production changed to Metuchen. Looking forward to its rebirth and appearing on stage again. |

October 20th, 2021 Countdown to the Bond movie Diamonds are forever 50th Anniversary Did you know Ford made this nice sticker back then. Fortunately I could obtain one after a hint from author Siggi Tesche, who just finished a very entertaining Bond cars book (in german language). It also contains latest research on the Diamond Mustangs. I learned that this sticker was indeed issued some time in the 70ies or latest 80ies. Anybody else who has one out there since the beginning? |
We hope that Ford has something special in mind for December 2021. A red Diamonds Mach 1? |

Bond in Motion Exhibition started in the Petersen Museum in L.A. My friend Dave Kunz spent a day there during the opening and passed on a number of pics. It is good to see the Ian Fleming "Diamond Bond car" again, though serious doubts were raised about #1000066, a red 429 delivered as a 375-D-201 Press loan car to Ford Marketing, Pico Rivera, some day around the August 9th, 1970 and invoiced January 8th, 1971. It belonged to Michael McKeever for some time in 2002. The Ian Fleming.org bought it from them and showed it around in the UK in the Bond in Motion show there. |
August 22nd, 2021 A decent picture of a 1968 Mustang interior? No. A 1968 Shelby? No. Guess again.... I think this is really Maya Masterart from a swedish guy called Andreas Ezelius. Why? It's completely done with a CAD-system and rendering to this more than realistic inside shot. If you think this is fake news, you are plain wrong. Each and every step in the creation of a superdetailed 1968 Fastback is shown on Andreas website. Not sure how long it took him, but for 125 Dollar you can benefit from his superficial artwork and buy the Maya compatible file, also available in .obj or fbx, which allows you to work also with the model in other CAD-systems. So next time think again, if you see a real car, it maybe a virtual tribute to an original car. Respect and Cudos to Andreas in the name of at least all 1968 Mustang Fastback owners. August 3rd, 2021
Some monthes ago, I digged for a female
photographer, whose name sticked in my mind from
several photo collections.
Ms. Jutta Fausel-Ward Upon research I learned that she was about to turn 80, soon after only one article appeared on the web. Before that I had found her website and asked for Mustang racing pics of the 60/70ies and to my surprise she took a full day and brought up about 50 pics for the ones I was looking for. Amongst them ultrarare shots of 5R539 during the ownership of Rolf Kienen und Ernst Jüntgens in Germany. Yes, indeed 5R539 in its hardtop dress, after being bought by them from Claude Dubois. |
She told me about her huge photoarchive and the treasures that are
in there and I thought this needs more attention. So via Dave Kunz
who knew Mark Vaughn, we got in touch with Autoweek. Mark visited
Jutta twice and made a great article. Due to some editorial
priorities the article got postponed for some time. But is finally
up.
Congratulations to Jutta Fausel-Ward and we hope more articles will
appear with her great shots from Formula 1, Indiy, F5000, but also
european GT and other races. Jutta lives still in the US since
decades, since she married John Ward.
Read more about her lifetime achievements for the racing sport. |
July 16th, 2021 1969 Shelby GT350 in black jade appears in Germany for sale, coming from the UK and its MOCGB club. One of my favourites to own, if the price is right. #0411 was widely known in UK with its licence plate UBD 73G, but fetched only roughly 58.000 Euro during an auction sale decade ago. Now (actually not) on sale in Germany. The Shelby turned out to be a customer car at the shop. |

June 18th, 2021 Special Mustangs get scarce, but this one caught my eye already during its building process up there in Norway. A former swedish car, that got the wagon treat at a Volvo factory for whatever reason in the 80ies. An employee brought it to Norway. A 1969 Station Wagon, a new special purpose vehicle for Ponyparts Mustang dealer Richard Anderson and his team. Congratulations for the extravaganza Mustang parts carrier. |

May 4th, 2021 End of April Jutta Fausel turned 80. For those who do not know her, she was the best known race car photographer in Germany and later on international starting in the early 60ies through touring cars, GT champion races, Formula 2 and Formula 1 as well as Indy cars, where she met her husband John Ward, engineer of the Dan Gurney team. She emigrated to the US and is still around in Costa Mesa. Happy Birthday, Jutta and thanks for sending me a big lot of your excellent photoshots for my private research of R-Shelbys and other racing Mustangs of the late 60ies, early 7oies. Shown is 5R539 as sold after the Spa 19 68 race to Rolf Kienen and Ernst Jüntgen and the Kleber tire manager. |

March 13th, 2021 Paying more attention to the continuity of this site now. We've got a new 1971 T-5 Mach 1 351C on board in the T-5 registry, now run by Mark Cordery (and me in Europe). Niklas G. from Sweden was told that this car had its first delivery in Sweden, so we are trying to find out, how a legitimate confirmed T-5 came to a dealer in Sweden. It is known that the delivery was much later than the production, so maybe it remained unsold at a german dealer, until somebody placed an order in Sweden and it got "moved" over. |

March 13th, 2021 We'd like to help John Thompson to find again the other 1966 fastback with these strange rear fenders. Here are his own words: I purchased a 99% rust free 1966 Fastback out of New Mexico. The car has factory rear quarter panels that are not the normal factory Ford rear quarters. Doing research quite awhile ago I saw another one just like it on another Mustang website that I can’t find anymore. I would like I see if you have any information on them. I can 100 percent guarantee these are factory and not some aftermarket junk. I had the rear media blasted inside and out and they are untouched factory panels. Update: Acually we meanwhile found another pic of the same fenders and forwarded it. No word back so far. |

March 3rd, 2021 How many have driven a 427SOHC in a street legal 1968 Shelby? Not so many, but Seved and Svein did back then with this drag car. Note the licence plate, which is certainly unique, but at least a rare sight on a SOHC Mustang. No wonder the driver has a big grin on his face. Memories that lasted more than 50 years and led to a new project - to install the same 427SOHC in another Mustang. Stay tuned, though it may take another year or two or three to see it on the road. |
